« FCC Ruling 47 CFR PART 12 - Redundancy OF Communications Systems | Main

Welcome to SupplyBlog.com

Things are changing rapidly in the field of standby power supplies in the telecommunications and broadband industries.  With telecoms in the video and data space and cable in the phone space, all the rules have changed.

Competition and regulation is forcing the industry to place a greater emphasis on standby power.  Routine standby power supply maintenance in the past has been an underfunded afterthought in most systems.  MSO's always had good intentions to "get to it" but the budget fell short before any action was ever taken.

We at Supply Performance Testers have been in the business of routine power supply maintenance for over 20 years.  We have worked with the enlightened systems across the country who have allocated the resources to make sure their backup power plants work when they are needed.

One of the hottest topics in our space  right now is the recent FCC regulations regarding standby power.  We will be speaking at length about them in future blog posts in an effort to keep you informed of the status of the rulings.

This blog is intended to provide the techs and management in MSO's all over the country a resource to keep up to date on everything related to standby power.  We do the searching for the most relevant information so you don't have to.

Please bookmark this blog and check back often.
